Article 1 (Application)
These Terms set out the conditions for providing GarageLog (the “Service”) and the rights and obligations between us and users regarding the use of the Service. They apply to all relationships between users and us concerning the use of the Service.
Article 2 (Definitions)
The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows.
- “Service” means the web and mobile applications (including the iOS app) named GarageLog and related services.
- “User” means an individual or entity that uses the Service.
- “Registration Information” means information a user registers with the Service.
- “Content” means information a user posts or uploads to the Service.
Article 3 (Registration)
- Users register for the Service using an email address and password, a Google account, or an Apple Account.
- The Service may decline a registration request and is not obligated to disclose the reason.
- If a minor uses the Service, the consent of a parent or guardian is required.
Article 4 (Account Management)
- Users are responsible for managing their account information appropriately.
- Users are responsible for any damages arising from the use of their account information.
- If you discover unauthorized use by a third party, please notify us immediately.
Article 5 (Fees)
- The Service is currently provided free of charge.
- We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, the applicable fees, billing cycle, and conditions will be clearly presented before any purchase, and you will only be charged after your consent.
Article 6 (Prohibited Conduct)
Users must not engage in any of the following:
- Conduct that violates laws or public order and morals
- Conduct related to criminal activity
- Conduct that interferes with the operation of the Service
- Conduct that infringes the rights of other users or third parties
- Posting or publishing violent, obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable content
- Registering false information
- Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
- Reverse engineering of the Service
- Unauthorized use for commercial purposes
Article 7 (Intellectual Property)
- All intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to us.
- Intellectual property rights in content posted by a user belong to that user.
- Users grant us a non-exclusive license to the extent necessary to store, display, and deliver their content.
Article 8 (Public Sharing of Content)
- Users may use the Service's sharing features to publish their own content (vehicle information, maintenance and customization records, photos, etc.) to third parties via share URLs or the “Community Garage.” Content is published only by the user's own action, and users may stop sharing at any time.
- The Service has zero tolerance for objectionable content, including violent, obscene, or discriminatory material or content that infringes the rights of others.
- Published content includes a feature that allows viewers to report it to us. Based on reports or at our own discretion, we may make private or delete content we deem inappropriate without prior notice.
- Viewers may hide (block) the published content of a specific user in their own browsing environment.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
- The Service is provided “as is.”
- We do not warrant the completeness, accuracy, or usefulness of the Service.
- We are not responsible for disputes between users or between a user and a third party.
- We are not responsible for damages caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, war, or riots.
Article 10 (Changes, Suspension, and Termination of the Service)
- We may change the content of the Service without prior notice to users.
- We may temporarily suspend the Service due to maintenance or system failures.
- We may terminate the Service with one month's notice.
Article 11 (Suspension and Cancellation of Use)
We may suspend use of the Service or delete an account without prior notice if a user:
- Violates these Terms
- Provided false registration information
- Has not used the Service for six months or more
- Is otherwise deemed inappropriate by us
Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court shall be the court of exclusive jurisdiction of first instance for any disputes related to the Service.
Article 13 (Changes to These Terms)
We may change these Terms as necessary. The revised Terms take effect when posted on the Service.
